SubliPen
The SubliPen. Sublimation transfer to one of the most popular personalisation
products.
The SubliPen offers complete full colour one off personalisation of a quality pen. Note:
to use sublimation transfer for this product we recommend the use of a Halogen Oven.
The printed areas of the two printable parts of the pen are:
Short pen tube is 37mm x 51mm,
Long pen tube is 37mm x 66mm.
Recommended printing instructions:
1. Print images as per the sizes recommended and cut to this size.
2.Place a piece of soft fabric onto the table. Press the transfer paper onto pen tube
tightly & roll slowly by fingers, in order to wrap the paper layer onto the pen tube tightly
(see video for further guidance - to follow).
3. Set Halogen oven 250C & 30 minutes to transfer.
4. Carefully remove the pen from the oven and allow to cool naturally.
5. Remove the paper when cool and assemble the pen. We recommend the use of a
small plastic hammer (or similar) to join the two main parts of the pen.
PRINTING TIPS:
Regarding the transfer. It takes about 20-25 minutes for a standard Halogen Oven to
reach around 200C inside that is why we recommend 250C & 30 minutes. If you use a
high power oven, the temperature can reach 200C within 5 minutes so you can just
set it to 15 minutes to transfer.
Another important thing is the wrapping. It is not a complicated skill but the Sublipen
has just a small printing area. The knack is to ensure the paper is tightly wrapped
around the pen.
