Ricoh Sublimation Printer
The Ricoh range of printers offer an alternative to the Epson brand of printers. We have 3 printers available in the Ricoh range and these are explained below.
All the Ricoh printers use ink cartridges filled with Subli-JetR inks rather than using a continuous ink system as offered with Epson printers.
The A3 Ricoh GX7000 Sublimation Printer offers A4 and A3 size printing and uses a special software package called PowerDriver for sublimation printing. This software is supplied free of charge with the GX7000 sublimation package below and makes printing from any graphics package very easy. The sublimation package we offer include the printer, a full set of Subli-JetR cartridges and the PowerDriver Software. The Subli-JetR cartridges for the GX7000 each contain 60ml of ink.
The second offering we have in the Ricoh range is the GX5050 and these are currently on special offer whilst stocks last. The GX5050 also uses the same Subli-JetR cartridges as the GX7000 but this printer is an A4 version only. Colour management is controlled through the use of an ICC colour correction profile which is available to download from the links below. This fast A4 printer provides excellent value for money. The GX5050 printer retailed at in excess of £200 +vat originally and with each cartridge costing £59 +vat (4 required) then the special offer price here of £349 +vat provides a huge saving.
Finally the new GXe3300N Ricoh printer is due to be lauched in March 2010 and this printer is also an A4 only printer. This also uses Subli-JetR cartridges but these contain 29ml of ink each as compared to the higher volumes in the GX5050 and GX7000. This new printer is supported with PowerDriver software and comes as a starter kit including the printer, a full set of Subli-JetR cartridges and the PowerDriver software.
The SubliJet-R sublimation cartridges are a high viscosity ink and are exclusively used with the Ricoh printers which offer dramatically improved print speed, lower cost per copy, low-maintenance, energy efficiency, vibrant colours combined with consistency and reliability as never seen before. The SubliJet-R cartridges are compatible with the GX5050, GX7000 and the new GXe3300N Ricoh printers.
For existing users of sublimation, one unique feature is the durability of the print-head itself. Ink is ejected with greater force eliminating clogging and time consuming blockages, especially if the printer is not used for prolonged periods.
The printer package is complete with a full set of high yield SubliJet-R cartridges (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) with the GX5050/ GX7000 as well as the PowerDriver Software for the G7000. The GXe3300N comes complete with the slightly lower capacity Subli-JetR cartridges.
The Power Driver Software is supplied free of charge (on CD) as are the ICC profiles when ordering a full set of cartridges, but please remember to ask for this as it is not automatically supplied.
