- Q. How can I avoid the PayPal Surcharge
- A. As the costs of receiving payment by PayPal are almost twice the cost of receiving payment by card we have a surcharge of 1.5% +vat for payments made this way.
The PayPal surcharge can be avoided by obtaining a PayPal TopUp Card. This is available direct from PayPal and you would order online from us as normal but at the end click on the Pay by Card link. You would then enter your PayPal payment card details and your PayPal account will be charged with the value of your order (no additional surcharge will be added).
You then get the best of both worlds - you continue to pay with your PayPal card (by making a transfer to your top up card) and don't incur any surcharge.
