- Q. I am not sure whether Epson Resetter will work with
my printer type. How do I make sure? - A. We have several Epson chip resetters. The Universal Chip Resetter and the JetTec R53 Resetter will reset the chips on the genuine Epson cartridges back to full. The only exception to the range is the latest TO71 series cartridges and the TO80 series, but see the FAQ below for details on this.
- Q. I have an Epson printer using the TO71 and TO80 series cartridges, such as the D78, D92, DX4000, DX4050, R265, Photo 1400 etc. Is there a chip reset solution for these printers?
- A. Yes there is now. In stock now we have a New Epson Chip Resetter which is designed to reset the latest 9 pin chips back to full status. This will work on all the new Epson chips including the Photo 1400, R265, D78, D92, D120 and all other 9 pin chips (when you look at the chip on the cartridge it will have 9 blocks of gold contacts). If in doubt please contact us.
- Q. We have a large format Epson printer. Is there a chip resetter for these?
- A. Yes there is. We call this the Wide Format Chip Resetter and this will reset the chips on the Epson printers back to full status and it will also reset the maintenance tank back to empty.
There are two options for this resetter depending on the Epson printer model you own. - Q. Will these Resetters work with chips on compatible (non-genuine
branded) cartridges? - A. We can't guarantee compatibility with non-genuine cartridges.
- Q. I don't want to reset chips. Do you sell Always Read Full (ARF) chips or Auto Reset chips?
- A. Yes we can supply ARF chips for just about all Epson desktop and home printers. These chips ensure the status monitor remains at full when the printer is switched on. We also sell Auto Reset chips for the Large Format Epson printers and these will deplete as normal but when the cartridge lever is lowered and re-engaged when the chip is about 5% full then it will reset automatically.
- Q. What type of battery does the unit take?
- A. A 9V PP3 type is required for the Universal chip resetter.
The JetTec universal resetter comes complete with a battery - Q. I want to buy the ink for use in the Epson Wide Format printers. What is it called and do you stock it?
- A. The ink in the Large Format Printers is called an Ultrachrome ink. We stock this for use in Epson printers such as the Epson 4000, 4800, 7600, 9600 and 10600. The ink we stock is called an UltraPro Ultrachrome ink and is manufactured in the USA.
